The Build is an interactive film exploring the world of custom motorcycle making through the stories of three independent builders in Portland, OR.
A labor of love has been released into the wild. As some of you might’ve noticed, motorcycles have been an apparent theme at the Outpost recently, from The One Moto Kickstarter to the DCB750. Our digital craft project, titled The Build, is an interactive film documentary about three independent bike builders Thor Drake, Casey Him and James Crowe.

Truen Pence
Truen Pence trained in fine art but driven by stories, migrated to motion pictures through design, motion graphics and experimentation with stop-motion photography. Pence began his filmmaking career by building a small company with a couple of co-workers and a camera. Making short films and commercials eventually lead to a feature documentary. His work led Pence to Instrument where he is currently the filmmaker for the digital agency.
